A neat point about Sanskrit: Every letter in the alphabet was pronounced exactly as it was written. In other languages, a given letter can have multiple pronunciations. This may be one of the reasons Sanskrit was considered to be a scientific language....due to its preciseness.

If *Maya* is Sanskrit in origin, can you guess from where the term Mayan arose?
