A neat point about Sanskrit: Every letter in the alphabet was pronounced exactly as it was written. In other languages, a given letter can have multiple pronunciations. This may be one of the reasons Sanskrit was considered to be a scientific language....due to its preciseness.

Navgati (navigation) is Sanskrit origin- Indus Valley was a trade center at the same time of Egypt- a seafaring people thrived there and traded with continents near and far. If *Maya* is Sanskrit in origin, can you guess from where the term Mayan arose? Astronomy was a studied science in the time of Vedas and Gita and the Bhagavad Gita is dated to 3,000BC per astronomical observations/calculations noted and proved in the actual texts of it.
